Infosec Europe london 2019 News & updates

Amongst the many goings on at this year’s Infosecurity Europe, it’s easy to miss some of the exciting happenings on and off the show floor. 

The latest press release from Infosecurity Europe highlighted some of the key exhibitor activities within the Cyber Innovation Zone in particular, along with the new LaunchPad facility to help explore some of the new exhibitor innovations on offer.

For those looking to learn more about the latest technologies, they can visit the Cyber Innovation Zone featuring the top 13 innovative small companies from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport UK’s Most Innovative Small Cybersecurity Company of the Year competition, including WoTT; Quadible; Human Firewall; Padlock; Tricerion; Titan IC; Qufaro; XQ Cyber; Keepnet Labs; Outthink; Lujam and winners Hack the Box.

This year’s show also includes a series of special events to support, educate and nurture information security professionals and start-up businesses. The conference includes Capture the FlagFutureSecWomen in CybersecurityCybersecurity for CNI and Securing SMEs Symposium.

In an already inspiring line-up, broadcaster and author Kate Adie will be delivering the opening Keynote at this year’s event on Tuesday 4 June (10.15-11.05am). Also announced is Jamie Bartlett, bestselling author of The People Vs Tech, The Dark Net & Radicals and Senior Fellow and former Director of Demos who will open day 2, Wednesday 5 June (10.1511.05am) and former CEO of Lloyd’s of London, Dame Inga Beale also on 5 June(11.25am12.05pm). 

Australian web security expert Troy Hunt was revealed as the latest industry luminary to be selected to join the Infosecurity Hall of Fame. Troy will be officially inducted during a session on the Keynote Stage on 11.20-12.10 on Thursday 6th June, when he will deliver the Hall of Fame Annual Lecture on the topic of Rise of the Breaches. 

The event also includes an inspirational keynote presentation by Professor Sue Black entitled ‘If I can do it, so can you’, a panel discussion, Q&A and networking as Infosecurity Europe hosts the third annual Women in Cybersecurity networking event on Wednesday 5th June .
