Questions, answered
If you wish to learn more about the programs or customize them, book 20 minutes with Sean and Marco.
Getting started
Which format should I start with?
Start with your goal. For always-on visibility, start with a Banner Ad: a 1,000-impression Starter is the easiest first step, then keep your banner up month to month. For news, a Video Reel gives it a voice. For an expert point of view, Experts Corner publishes it under your name. For a spokesperson’s story, book a Brand Highlight, Spotlight or Feature. For a message read by the hosts, choose a Video Commercial. For an industry event, an Event Briefing puts you in the coverage. Not sure? A discovery call with Sean and Marco sorts it out.
Where can I get my company’s or client’s news featured?
Send us the press release and we turn it into a Video Reel: a finished video of about 90 seconds, posted to ITSPmagazine’s YouTube and LinkedIn pages and on the ITSPmagazine Blog with your original article. To put a spokesperson behind the news, add a Brand Highlight or Brand Spotlight, a hosted conversation with Sean or Marco.
Where can I place banner ads?
Your banner runs on every page of itspmagazine.com, including the blog with over 2,500 posts, under a Sponsored Ads label. Banners start from $50 for a 1,000-impression Starter.
How do I reach security and technology buyers?
ITSPmagazine has 44,000+ LinkedIn followers across Sean, Marco and the publication, and 46% are director level or above. The most common titles are Founder, CEO, CISO, Board Member and CMO. Any format on this page puts your brand in front of them, and you can stack formats for the broadest and deepest exposure.
Can I combine formats?
Yes. A Video Reel can be booked alone or added to any other program, such as a Brand Highlight or Brand Spotlight. A banner adds always-on visibility to a launch, and host-read commercials already include a companion banner. To build the mix with you, book 20 minutes with Sean and Marco.
Do you work with agencies?
Yes. Banner Ads are set up for agencies to manage the ads for multiple clients, each billed separately and each with its own results. For host-read commercials, the agency or the client can pay, and receipts and reports can go to either or both.
Banner Ads
What do banner ads look like, and what can I run?
Artwork is 1920 × 1080 pixels (16:9) as a JPG, PNG or GIF, up to 5 MB. Ads appear under a Sponsored Ads label and rotate with other sponsors on every page of itspmagazine.com. Each booking runs one ad, and you can update its picture or link any time. Your banner is also shared in a LinkedIn post from our network.
What does a banner include, and what is guaranteed?
Start with the Starter: 1,000 guaranteed impressions for one payment. It runs until every one is delivered, with no end date to watch. Then keep going with the monthly booking: one flat price, at least 1,000 impressions guaranteed every month, every impression beyond that at no extra cost, and you can cancel the renewal any time. Current prices are on the booking page.
How are banner views and clicks counted?
On our sites, an impression counts when at least half of the ad is on screen for at least one second, the IAB standard. Views of the LinkedIn posts carrying your ad count too, using LinkedIn’s own numbers, and your report shows them on their own line. Robots and automated traffic are filtered out, repeat views and clicks from the same visitor within 30 minutes count once, and no cookies are used. Your account shows results by ad, page, country and device, with a PDF report.
We are responsible for delivering impressions, and impressions are what is guaranteed. Clicks are a bonus: they depend on the quality and relevance of your ad, so we report them but do not guarantee them.
Do I need to be a tech or cybersecurity company?
No. Tech and cybersecurity companies are a natural fit, and so are lifestyle, music, coffee, retail and social brands. Every ad is reviewed before it runs.
Where does my banner appear?
Your banner runs in rotation on every page of itspmagazine.com, including the blog with over 2,500 posts, in front of the people who read, watch and listen there. It is also shared in a LinkedIn post from our network, and views of that post count toward your impressions.
Can an agency manage banners for several clients?
Yes. Banner Ads are set up for agencies. One agency login manages the ads for all of your clients, each client is billed separately, and each client gets its own banner, live results and a PDF report to share.
Can I use a banner to promote a launch, webinar or event?
Yes. Point your banner at any page you want visitors to reach, and update its picture or link any time, so the same booking can follow a campaign from announcement to on-demand.
Where can I see how my banner is performing?
In your own account, live as it happens: viewable impressions, clicks, countries and devices, plus views of the LinkedIn posts carrying your ad. A PDF report is ready to pass on to your team or your client.
Video Reels
What is a Video Reel?
A roughly 90-second short-form video from Studio C60, built to accompany a press release or brand announcement. It is voiced and cut from your press release in landscape and vertical, with no recording session. It is posted to ITSPmagazine’s YouTube and LinkedIn pages and on the ITSPmagazine Blog with your original article, and the rights are yours.
Where will my Video Reel be published?
On ITSPmagazine’s YouTube and LinkedIn pages, and on the ITSPmagazine Blog beside your original article, in front of the audience that follows us.
What do I send for a Video Reel?
Your press release URL (ideally on your own newsroom), the URL for the closing call to action, a short call to action of up to 60 characters, and your website so we can follow your colors, logo and typography.
How quickly will my Video Reel be ready?
Standard delivery is about 72 hours from your order. Rush delivery within 24 hours is +$100.
Can I use the video on my own channels?
Yes. The video comes in landscape and vertical, the rights are yours forever, and you can use it anywhere you tell your story. The links to everything are in your Company hub on Studio C60 when it is live.
Can I add a conversation to my Video Reel?
Yes. Book a Video Reel alone or add it to any other program, such as a Brand Highlight or Brand Spotlight with Sean or Marco.
Brand Stories
What are Brand Stories?
Brand Stories are Studio C60’s core content format: a guided, professionally produced conversation with Sean and/or Marco turned into video, audio, and a written companion article you own outright.
Where can my founder or executive tell our story?
In a Brand Story: a guided conversation with Sean and/or Marco, produced as video, audio and a 400 to 600 word companion article. It is published on ITSPmagazine’s YouTube and the podcast platforms, and the assets and rights are yours.
How do I choose between a Highlight, Spotlight, Feature and Summit?
A Brand Highlight (about 5 minutes, $400) carries one focused message. A Brand Spotlight (about 15 minutes, $650) gives you room to set context and build credibility, with a planning call and one short clip. A Brand Feature (about 30 minutes, $1,500) goes deep on origin stories, solution dives, customer success or research findings with several voices, hosted by Sean and Marco together, with a planning call and three short clips. A Brand Summit (about 60 minutes, $3,500) is a panel or webinar we plan, host and moderate for you, with Sean and Marco together.
Who hosts my Brand Story?
Sean Martin or Marco Ciappelli. Sean and Marco host a Brand Feature and a Brand Summit together.
Where is my Brand Story distributed?
On ITSPmagazine’s YouTube, with podcast distribution, social promotion and a newsletter mention.
What can I use in my own marketing?
Everything. Assets arrive as MP4, MP3, PNG and RTF, with full usage rights, so the video, audio, article and any clips can all go to work on your channels.
Event Briefings and Coverage Sponsorship
Where can my company be part of event coverage?
Sean and Marco cover RSA Conference, Black Hat, SecTor, Infosecurity Europe, CES, NAMM, HIMSS and more, and your brand becomes part of the story. No booth is required.
What is the difference between an On-Site Briefing and a Coverage Sponsorship?
An On-Site Briefing ($1,500) includes a planning call with Sean and Marco, a roughly 15-minute on-site video conversation, audio, a 400 to 600 word article and your logo on the event coverage page. A Coverage Sponsorship ($3,000) covers your brand before, during and after the event: everything in the On-Site Briefing, plus a 5-minute post-event brand highlight, sponsored editorial in one or two event articles, and distribution to podcast platforms, YouTube and social.
What do the event options cost?
An On-Site Briefing is $1,500 and a Coverage Sponsorship is $3,000. Sometimes we offer remote coverage for briefings as well. Contact the team to explore that option. Panel and webinar moderation is a separate option, described below.
Do I need a booth to get event coverage?
No. You do not need a booth or a presence at the event to take part in an Event Briefing. We cover events on site and remotely, and the briefing carries your message into the coverage.
Panel and Webinar Moderation
Can you moderate a panel or webinar that we host?
Yes, for $1,500. You host the panel or webinar on your platform with your audience, and we join and moderate it. Independent journalists and analysts bring credibility and keep the conversation on your terms.
Can you run a panel or webinar for us?
Yes. A Brand Summit is $3,500: we plan, host and moderate a panel or webinar of about 60 minutes for you, with Sean and Marco together. You can host it on your platform or we record it on ours, and all content and leads stay with you.
What is the difference between moderation and a Brand Summit?
With moderation ($1,500), you run the event and we join as the moderator. With a Brand Summit ($3,500), we run it for you: content planning, hosting and moderation.
Host-Read Video Commercials
How do host-read commercials work?
You send a script and a banner, and pay by card. Sean Martin, Marco Ciappelli, or both read your script on camera, and Studio C60 produces and publishes it. A 30 second spot is $350 and is read by one host, your choice. A 1 minute spot is $500 and is read by both. The script is about 75 words for 30 seconds and about 150 words for 1 minute. Delivery is 5 business days. Real hosts on camera, no avatars and no AI voices. It is published as a YouTube Short, your 1500 × 840 banner runs in rotation across ITSPmagazine channels, and ITSPmagazine posts it on LinkedIn, all marked as sponsored. The links to everything are shared in your Company hub on Studio C60. Book it from the Video Commercials section above.
Where can the hosts read my message on camera?
In a Video Commercial. A 30 second spot ($350) is read by one host, and a 1 minute spot ($500) is read by both. They are real hosts on camera, with no avatars and no AI voices.
Can I choose which host reads my spot?
Yes. For a 30 second spot you pick Sean Martin or Marco Ciappelli. A 1 minute spot is read by both.
Where will my commercial run?
It is published as a YouTube Short, posted on LinkedIn by ITSPmagazine, and paired with a companion banner ad in rotation across ITSPmagazine channels, all marked as sponsored.
How do I book a Video Commercial?
Contact us through the contact page and we will set it up with you, or book 20 minutes with Sean and Marco to plan one alongside your other programs.
What do I send?
Your script, a 1500 × 840 banner with your call to action, and your branding details. Pick your host for a 30 second spot.
Where do I find my links?
In your Company hub on Studio C60, once it is live.
Experts Corner
How does Experts Corner work?
Experts Corner is for engineers, researchers and founders with a point of view worth sharing with ITSPmagazine readers. You submit a finished opinion article of 800 to 1,200 words (not a product demo or a press release) and a video: either your own, up to 2 minutes, or we make one of about 90 seconds from your article, with no recording session. The price is $250 either way.
Every submission is screened automatically and then read by an editor. Your card is held when you submit and charged only if it is approved. If we decline it, the hold is released and you pay nothing.
Once approved, the video goes on the ITSPmagazine YouTube channel in the Experts Corner playlist, and the article goes on ITSPmagazine Blog with the video on top, marked Experts Corner and Sponsored. We aim to be live within 5 business days of your card being held, and we email you the links.
We publish exactly what you submit. There is no sign-off step on the video we make, no edits after it is live, and no refunds once it is approved.
Where can I publish my expert’s point of view?
In Experts Corner ($250). Your video goes on the ITSPmagazine YouTube channel in the Experts Corner playlist, and your opinion article goes on the ITSPmagazine Blog, published together under your name, or your expert’s.
Can an individual or an agency submit?
Yes. Engineers, researchers and founders can submit under their own names, or submit on behalf of one of their experts, published under the expert’s name.
Will my piece be added to the podcast feed?
No. Experts Corner lives on the ITSPmagazine Blog and YouTube channel and is not added to the podcast feed. For podcast distribution, a Brand Story is the right fit.
Advisory
Do you offer advisory work?
Yes. Sometimes the story needs work before the content does. Through Studio C60, we work with founders, executives and marketing leaders on creative campaigns, branding and marketing, go-to-market strategy, messaging and positioning, content development, and sales and partner enablement. Take the ideas back to your team, or bring us in to build them with you.
How do I get started with advisory?
Start with a free discovery call, an introductory conversation about where you are and what you need, or a discounted 1-hour advisory session focused on your most pressing question. For ongoing projects, choose a prepaid package of 1 to 10 hours, or a larger arrangement we plan together.
Can advisory lead to content?
Yes. Sometimes the advice is enough. Sometimes the idea deserves to be made, and any of the programs on this page can follow: a Video Reel, a Brand Story, a commercial or event coverage.
