CornCon was founded in 2015 by the Quad Cities Cybersecurity Alliance, in a partnership with the IEEE Computer Society and St. Ambrose University. Docent Institute was formed as a non-profit educational charity, expressly to manage this event, professional development and educational STEM events. CornCon is the kind of small, regional cybersecurity conference that people are looking for. People want to get out, connect with friends in person and not be overwhelmed by a 30,000-person conference.
