About ITSPmagazine
Broadcasting Ideas and Connecting Minds
at the Intersection of Cybersecurity, Technology and Society.
Founded by Sean Martin and Marco Ciappelli, ITSPmagazine has returned to its original vision as a multimedia platform dedicated to exploring the critical intersection of technology, cybersecurity, and society. For over a decade, we’ve recognized that this convergence is one of the most defining forces shaping our world—and today, it’s more relevant than ever.
At the heart of ITSPmagazine is the creative partnership between Sean and Marco, who together craft all content and host conversations across multiple formats: video, audio, and written. This collaborative approach ensures a consistent vision and a deep exploration of how technological advancement, cybersecurity challenges, and societal transformation interconnect in ways that impact every aspect of our lives.
Through interviews, panels, webinars, and thought-provoking discussions, we examine how cybersecurity influences public trust, how emerging technologies reshape social structures, and how society adapts to an increasingly digital world. We also provide comprehensive coverage of cybersecurity and technology events around the globe, both in-person and virtual, delivering insights and perspectives from the international community.
While we touch on broader topics that influence this intersection, our core mission remains focused on understanding and discussing how technology, cybersecurity, and society continue to evolve together. Join us as we navigate these complex relationships, challenge assumptions, and explore the questions that will define our digital future.
Together, we’re building a more informed and secure tomorrow.
How it started
A publication built on one belief
Cybersecurity and technology deserved better storytelling. Not press releases. Not feature lists dressed up as thought leadership. Real stories, told by people who understand the industry and the humans inside it.
ITSPmagazine began in 2015 as a written publication. For the first few years it was articles only. Then came the podcasts, the on-location event coverage, the video, the newsletters. Today it is the home for everything Sean and Marco create together: conversations, interviews, panels, analysis and reflection.
The conversations reach well beyond the server room, into how technology changes the way we work, live, create and relate to each other.

Sean Martin, CISSP
Co-founder. Cybersecurity analyst. Technologist. Journalist. Podcast host.
Sean is the technologist. Three decades in technology and information security, building security products and helping launch hundreds of commercial software products, with top analyst recognition along the way. He has advised companies on market strategy, guiding U.S. firms into Europe and Asia and international companies into the U.S., and he knows what a CISO needs to hear before they trust you.
He speaks both technical precision and business consequence, and he has been a journalist long enough to know the difference between what is true and what merely sounds good. Underneath it all he is a program manager, the one who turns a good idea into a delivered result. At ITSPmagazine he is CTO and runs operations and programming.
He is also an adjunct professor at Pepperdine's Graziadio Business School, a photographer and a musician. Based between Los Angeles and New York.

Marco Ciappelli
Co-founder. Creative director. Brand strategist. Journalist. Podcast host. Writer.
Marco is the creative director, the one who wakes up thinking about how a company sounds, how it looks and what it makes people feel. He holds a Master's in Political Science, Sociology of Communication, from the University of Florence, with a specialization in Advertising and Communication.
A sociologist of communication who became an advertiser, launching his first agency in 1996, then a creative director, a journalist covering cybersecurity, technology and society, and a brand builder. The long way around turned out to be the right way. Today he also advises companies and individuals on brand positioning and storytelling.
He works in English and Italian, between Los Angeles and Florence, where he was born.
Why it works
The story and the proof
The creative
Marco brings the creative instinct: how a brand sounds, what it makes people feel, why someone remembers it, and what technology means for the society it is changing.
The technologist
Sean brings the analytical authority: what the market actually needs, how buyers think, and what makes the technical side say yes.
Together
The feeling and the logic, at the same table. On location at RSAC, Black Hat, Infosecurity Europe, CES, NAMM and more, in person or remotely, and in every conversation on ITSPmagazine.
Have a story we should hear?
Sean and Marco are always listening for the next conversation worth having.
