Registration to the Premier Application Security Industry Conference Is Now Open
Los Angeles, CA – On January 25 – 27, 2016, the Third Annual AppSec California is taking place in Santa Monica, CA at the Annenberg Beach House. AppSec California is the premier application security conference for IT and Information Security professionals, developers, QA and testing professionals. The Los Angeles, Orange County and Santa Barbara chapters of the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) have partnered to make this unique event possible, which will bring industry leaders from around the world together to learn and share knowledge and experiences on secure systems and secure development methodologies.
During the three-day summit, world-renowned experts in the field of web application security will lend their expertise to event goers through presentations, roundtable discussions and interactive training sessions. This year’s event brings an array of distinct keynote speakers including Marcus Ranum, Chief Security Officer for Tenable Security, Inc.; Jeremiah Grossman, founder of WhiteHat Security; and Jacob West, Chief Architect for Security Products at NetSuite. The summit will feature four concurrent panel tracks to address a variety of topics in the field of application security. Attendees can also partake in a Capture the Flag competition, as well as a variety of other challenges.
Special Training classes are being offered on Day One, and attendees can choose from: Secure Coding Bootcamp for the Web, Web Pentesting Using OWASP Tools, and Attack Techniques and a Hands-On CTF. There is a discounted package available that includes training and the two following days of speaker sessions.
The summit’s opening cocktail reception will take place on day two at the landmark Marion Davies House on its scenic outdoor patio, taking full advantage of the event’s picturesque location on the beach in Santa Monica. This networking function will create an ideal opportunity to bring summit attendees together to share ideas on innovative techniques for securing web-based applications while overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
