Idan Udi Edry, CEO of Nation-E, will share IT and IoT governance insights at Silicon Valley conference
SANTA CLARA – June 21, 2016 – Nation-E, a provider of cybersecurity solutions for critical infrastructure and the smart grid environments, will showcase at the 2016 Intelligent Buildings Conference (IBcon).
The event is taking place on June 21-24, 2016, in Silicon Valley, the epicenter of technology and innovation, at the San Jose Convention Center. Nation-E’s chief executive officer, Idan Udi Edry, will speak at the conference to share his insights on the cybersecurity solutions available to the commercial, corporate, government and institutional real estate industry.
Edry will be featured as a guest speaker on June 22, in the “Defining a Smart Building Cyber Strategy” discussion. He will join three other panelists to highlight the need to develop a complete, comprehensive and well thought out cyber strategy, which encompasses BAS, IT and IoT governance guidelines to build a defense capable of deterring every type and degree of breach. The discussion will be held 4:45-5:45 p.m. at the conference’s Lower Level LL20C panel space.
“In recent years, the Smart Building industry has continued to advance at a rapid pace. Technological improvements have increased efficiency and lowered costs for building owners and operators, leading to greater demand and a high adoption rate of smart technologies,” says Edry. “However, this transition from operational technology to intelligent technology makes a company’s critical infrastructure highly vulnerable to a cyber-attack. There are many steps Business Management System developers need to take in order to successfully implement smart technologies into their current systems, while protecting and defending against cyber threats. This is what I hope to explain and expand on at this year’s conference.”
IBcon has grown to become the world's most comprehensive discussion on the next generation of smart, connected, high-performance, green, sustainable, intelligent buildings. This event is not about the traditional one building, one system, one vendor smart building of yesterday, but rather the open architected, interoperable, integrated, IP, IT centric smart buildings of tomorrow. IBcon brings together visionary experts from around the globe to discuss the latest technologies and present the world's most advanced, next generation smart building case studies.
This is the first year Nation-E is sponsoring and participating in the 2016 IBcon event. For more information about the conference, please visit http://cybersummitusa.com/atlanta-2016/.
