Vice President of Public Sector, OSIsoft
Steve Sarnecki is Vice President of Public Sector at OSIsoft, where he helps federal civilian, defense and intelligence agencies optimize missions by implementing the PI System for a smarter operational infrastructure. Steve helps the DoE, NIH, NASA, and the US Army to fully harness the potential of sensors and IoT by transforming fragmented protocols and data streams into meaningful intelligence. He is a cleared advisor for the Secretary of Commerce and ITAC-6 on Energy and Energy Services. Steve was also one of the “founding fathers” of the CiDX Cybersecurity Initiative, which focused on improving the infrastructure that supports our country’s datacenters, and authored Access Security Guidelines for Process Control Computers. Above all else, his professional (and personal) objective is to serve people and processes – managing change, motivating teams, executing details, and achieving results for the best possible outcome. He’s a hands-on leader focused on getting the best out of people in all situations, and is deeply devoted to serving his community at large. As the Executive Director of the SALT ministry and board member at The Franciscan Center of Baltimore, his mission outside of the federal world is simply to provide assistance and support to the economically disadvantaged.
