Executive Leadership. A conversation With Merlin Namuth.jpeg

By Sean Martin, host of At The Edge

As an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University in Malibu and an advisory for the Pepperdine Cyber Risk Professional (CyRP) Certification program, ITSPmagazine editor-in-chief Sean Martin is fortunate to be able to connect with a number of folks in the industry, many of whom are experienced in risk-based leadership.

In today’s episode, Sean connects with Merlin Namuth, Business Information Security Officer for ReedGroup and fellow advisory board member for the Pepperdine Cyber Risk Professional (CyRP) Certification program.

Merlin and Sean had a quick chat following his presentation to the CyRP certification program students to discuss executive leadership best practices, the topic he presented. In this conversation, Merlin discusses the concepts of leading up, leading across, leading down, and leading within, while keeping a close eye on the importance of building relationships and trust in all cases.

Ultimately, as is true for risk management practices as well, it is all about being real.

Take a listen!
