We are pleased to announce that our Insider Threat Forum will be held in London in October 2017.
Traditionally the primary security objective of organisations has been to protect the perimeter and focus on the harm caused by an external attack. However, with over half of these attacks being perpetrated by insiders research suggests that it is those within your network firewalls that pose the largest risk. High profile organisations and government entities such as the Australian Immigration Department, Red Cross Blood Service, Vodafone and Mossack Fonseca have already fallen victim to this and though insider sabotage is amongst the top three security threats that companies face, many Chief Information Security Officers still lack the best practices to combat the threat effectively.
As the number of insider attacks increase many companies are placing increasing importance on the risks associated with high-risk employees, privileged users, everyday business users, vendors and contractors. Savvy organisations now realise the need to develop policies to identify and eliminate these threats.
