BSides Asheville Information Security Conference

  • The Collider 1 Haywood Street Asheville, NC, 28801 United States (map)

BSides Asheville will be holding its 5th Information Security Conference on June 23 at The Collider in Asheville, North Carolina. BSides Asheville is a 100% volunteer-run information security conference held annually in Asheville. Asheville is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina and has become a mecca for craft beer lovers, foodies and technology startups.

At past BSides Asheville conferences, speakers have presented a wide range of information security topics, which include technical topics, such as dissecting network protocols, as well as policy issues, such as managing information leakage via social networks and complex international problems, such as cyber warfare. This year's keynote is Chris Nickerson, who is the Founder of Lares Consulting. He has spoken at multiple conferences including BlackHat, Derbycon, DEFCON, and even a TED Talk. Since 2009, Chris has been one of the driving forces behind Security BSides, which is the organization that kickstarted BSides conferences worldwide.

This prominent regional conference is designed to educate and raise awareness about cybersecurity in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina and beyond. BSides Asheville is a place where you can build friendships with others that last long after the conference ends.
