The WiCyS initiative was launched with support from a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant (award #1303441.) Since 2014, with additional support from industry, government and academic partners, WiCyS has become the premier event to recruit, retain and advance women in cybersecurity.
WiCyS brings together women in cybersecurity from academia, research and industry for sharing of knowledge/experience, networking and mentoring. Beyond the annual conference, WiCyS is a community of engagement, encouragement and support for women in cybersecurity.
WiCyS 2017 is expecting 800 attendees who will enjoy presentations, panels, workshops, lighting talks, a birds-of-a-feather session, mentoring opportunities, poster sessions, and a career fair. Any individual or organization interested in supporting recruiting and retention efforts for women in cybersecurity is encouraged to participate.
